2007/05/14 - IT’S OFFICIAL: REDUX’s COCAINE IS NOW CENSORED LAS VEGAS, NV (May 11, 2007) . Today, during a wildly successful press conference that featured a chimpanzee, Redux Beverages announced that the world-famous energy drink Cocaine has been re-named “Censored.” The impetus for the name change came from political threats from the FDA and several state attorneys general. Founder Jamey Kirby said, “We love the Censored name because it has the same rebellious and fun spirit that our original name did.” Redux Beverages LTD was founded in 2006. They manufacture one of the three most-talked about energy drinks on the market (along with Red Bull and Rockstar). Due to regulations from the FDA, Redux was forced to halt the sale of Cocaine in May of 2007, but later re-launched it Censored. Redux is also working on new product lines to be announced soon. |
